What's New
A clearer diary, your way
FoodieCalc 1.5.2 makes everyday logging easier to navigate and understand. Jump straight to a meal, collapse long diary sections, inspect your full day against your goals, find saved foods by brand, recover smoothly from a missing barcode, use named servings such as 1 scoop = 32 g, and tailor Progress to the sections you actually use.
Move through your diary faster
The meal picker now keeps your chosen meal ready for the next entry and takes you straight to that section. Each meal can also be collapsed to its calorie summary, then expanded again whenever you need the individual foods.
Why it matters
A busy diary stays easy to scan. You spend less time hunting through a long list and more time focused on the meal you are working with.
How to use it
- 1In Logs, open the meal picker and choose Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snacks.
- 2FoodieCalc expands that meal if needed and scrolls it into view.
- 3Tap the chevron beside any meal name to collapse or expand its foods.
See how the whole day compares
Day's Total now opens a detailed view of calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. When goals are set, it shows the consumed and target amounts, the percentage reached, and what is left or over.
Why it matters
The daily summary answers the useful follow-up question immediately: not only what you have logged, but where that leaves you against your plan.
How to use it
- 1Open a day with logged food in Logs.
- 2Tap the Day's Total summary.
- 3Review each total and its goal progress in one place.
Find the right food with less backtracking
Search now matches the brand on foods saved in your Library as well as the food name. If a scanned barcode is not found, the scanner offers direct choices to search manually, create the food, or scan again.
Why it matters
Branded products are easier to find, and an unfamiliar barcode is no longer a dead end that sends you back through the logging flow.
How to use it
- 1Search using either a saved food's name or its brand.
- 2If a barcode is missing, choose Search Manually or Create New Food.
- 3Choose Scan Again when you want to try another barcode.
Servings that match the label
Custom foods can now pair a serving name with its exact gram or millilitre amount — for example, 1 scoop = 32 g. Library results also state whether the displayed nutrition is per 100 g, per 100 ml, or for a named serving.
Why it matters
You can log the unit you naturally use without giving up accurate nutrition calculations, and compare Library results with the correct reference at a glance.
How to use it
- 1Create or edit a food in the Library.
- 2Enter its Serving size and Unit, then add an optional Serving name such as scoop.
- 3Enter calories and nutrients for that serving and save the food.
Make Progress yours
Progress now has its own customization screen. Calories and macros, water, micronutrients, and the period comparison shortcut can each be shown or hidden, while micronutrient cards with no source data are omitted automatically.
Why it matters
The screen stays focused on the information you track, without empty values or sections you do not use competing for attention.
How to use it
- 1Open Progress and tap the customization button in the top bar.
- 2Turn each section on or off independently.
- 3Return to Customize Progress at any time to restore a hidden section.
